Week 3 of the Canadian Premier League’s return-to-training program is in full-swing as all eight clubs enjoy a pre-season environment under the summer sun. But, with CPL Commissioner David Clanachan recently hinting that a truncated 2020 season is coming, the attention towards training has never been stronger – any competitive edge will be needed. All players are, of course, still adhering to health protocols and keeping their distance from each other to avoid the spread of COVID-19. But things are approaching normalcy – even for goalkeepers. Clubs are also building rosters, including Atlético Ottawa, who introduced Malcolm Shaw to the fold this week. Here’s what training looked like in Week 3 – masks and all.
