Toronto, ON (Jan. 6, 2026) – Inter Toronto Football Club confirmed today that midfielder Shola Jimoh has been named to the Canada Men’s National Team (CANMNT) squad for the upcoming January training camp as part of Canada Soccer’s Road to 2026.

Jimoh has been selected as part of a 20-player roster that will take part in a 10-day training camp from 8 to 18 January in Irvine, California, providing North American-based players the opportunity to train under the direction of Men’s National Team Head Coach Jesse Marsch and his technical staff.

As part of the camp, Canada will face Guatemala in an international friendly on 17 January at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, with kickoff scheduled for 19:00 PT. The match will be classified as a Tier 1 international fixture and will count toward the FIFA Men’s World Rankings.

At 17 years of age, Jimoh is the youngest player selected for the January camp. His inclusion continues his progression within the national team program following his participation at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in late 2025 and previous call-ups to Canada’s U-20 national team.

The January camp falls outside of an official FIFA international window, with selections made in close collaboration between Canada Soccer and clubs ahead of their respective pre-seasons.

Inter Toronto Football Club congratulates Shola on this milestone and looks forward to supporting him as he continues his development while representing Canada on the international stage.
