Championship Semi-Final: Atlético Ottawa @ Forge FC
Under the current Canadian Premier League Playoff format, the top 2 teams from the CPL regular season clash in the “Championship Semi-Final". The CPL Shield winners (this year, Forge FC) host the match.
The winner will progress to - and host - the 2025 Canadian Premier League Final, which will take place on Sunday, November 9 (KO 5pm ET).
The defeated team will host the “Contender Semi-Final" (see more info below).

Canadian Premier League Final: Winner of the Championship Semi-Final v Winner of the Contender Semi-Final
Our ultimate goal remains to the host – and win – the Canadian Premier League Final at TD Place.
If Atlético beats Forge FC this weekend in the “Championship Semi-Final", our home playoff match will be the big one.
The 2025 Canadian Premier League Final would be coming to TD Place.
This match would take place on Sunday, November 9 (KO 5pm ET) and broadcast across the nation on TSN and OneSoccer.
We would host the winner of the “Contender Semi-Final" (more info below) as well as all of the Canadian Premier League Final festivities that would be coming to Ottawa from the Wednesday onwards.
This includes the CPL Awards, with goalkeeper Nathan Ingham, midfielder Manu Aparicio and forwards David Rodríguez and Sam Sater leading candidates as some of the best players in the league this year.
Contender Semi-Final: Loser of the Championship Semi-Final vs Winner of Quarter-Final
If we lose against Forge in the “Championship Semi-Final" then Atlético Ottawa’s home playoff match will be the “Contender Semi-Final". BUY PLAYOFF TICKETS HERE.
This match would take place at TD Place on Saturday, November 1 (KO 6pm ET).
Our opponents are yet to be decided, as Halifax Wanderers face York United on Wednesday, October 22, in the “Knockout Match”.
The winner of that match will travel to Calgary and face Cavalry FC in the “Quarter-Final” on Sunday, October 26.
In this scenario, Atlético’s opponent will then be decided: the winner of the Quarter-Final travels to TD Place on Saturday, November 1 (KO 6pm ET).
Which ever way you cut it, Atlético Ottawa will be hosting a massive playoff match at TD Place this post-season and thanks to the team’s incredible performances we have the opportunity to host another final.
We’ve broken records, now it’s time to earn our place in the history books.
