Equipment Manager Assistant (Intern)

Cavalry FC is looking for an Equipment Manager Assistant (Intern) to support the day-to-day operations of the Equipment Department. Please note this is an unpaid position. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience within a professional football environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Equipment Manager with organizing, packing, and handling equipment and bags for team travel
  • Support loading and unloading equipment during travel days
  • Transport equipment to and from the airport for away matches
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize training and game apparel
  • Assist with the preparation and setup of equipment for training sessions and matches
  • Apply heat press on training and game jerseys (names, numbers, and logos)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional equipment room

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry loads of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Availability to work weekends and flexible hours, including matchdays and travel days
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Interest in working within a professional football environment

Preferred Qualifications (Asset):

  • Previous experience in sports equipment, laundry, or team operations (not required)
  • Desire to pursue a career in professional football or sports operations

Graphic Design & Marketing Associate

We’re looking for a creative, energized, and forward-thinking Graphic Design & Marketing Associate to help elevate our brand and drive our next stage of growth.

Position Overview

The Graphic Design & Marketing Associate plays a key role in executing Cavalry FC’s marketing strategy across digital, social, community, and in-stadium platforms. This role focuses on fan engagement, brand storytelling, campaign execution, and supporting ticketing and corporate partnership initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly creative, and thrives in a fast-paced sports environment.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Campaign Execution 

  • Produce high-quality digital/print/video assets for use in all promotional materials. 

  • Support the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive ticket sales, match attendance, merchandise revenue, and brand awareness. 

  • Manage content calendars, scheduling, and performance reporting. 

  • Manage document systems for all visual and social media assets. 

  • Work with paper and sign printing companies for physical asset creation for best possible pricing and within project timelines. 

  • Coordinate design and delivery of promotional assets across web, email, social media, and paid channels. 

  • Collaborate with ticketing to drive targeted sales messaging and promotions.

Digital & Social Media  

  • Support in managing the Cavalry FC website (content, pages, & blog/media pages). 

  • Create and publish engaging digital content, including graphics, captions, videos, and fan-focused storytelling. 

  • Monitor social media channels for fan engagement, inquiries, trends, and opportunities. 

  • Track KPIs and performance metrics; provide insights to optimize campaigns.

Brand & Communications 

  • Ensure brand standards are being met and maintained both internally and across Club's network of Partners and clients.  

  • Creating decks, wrap-reports, templates for the business and sales team to bring assets and event to market 

  • Create annual brand book and style guide 

  • Support email marketing campaigns, including formatting, design and reporting. 

  • Work with media coordinator on content and video creation (social media posts, player announcements, team updates, etc.)

Matchday Responsibilities 

  • Support in-stadium fan engagement initiatives, including signage, sponsor activations & deliverables, and game presentation elements for Home Matches 

  • Provide real-time live content capture, sponsored asset posts, and create and publish match stories and score updates for both home and away matches.

Community & Partnerships 

  • Support community marketing initiatives with youth organizations, grassroots soccer, schools, and local partners. 

  • Work with the partnerships team to help fulfill sponsor deliverables and coordinate activations.

Other 

  • Support Cavalry FC Academy with web, print and graphic materials as needed. 

  • Photography duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills 

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, digital media, communications, or related field (sports experience is an asset). 

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite—primarily InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro/After Effects—within a Windows platform environment. 

  • Strong knowledge of Meta and Google Ads frameworks—including campaign setup, management, and optimization—along with proficiency in Google Analytics and experience with programmatic advertising platforms and strategies. 

  • Proficiency with social media platforms and content tools, including posting, scheduling, engagement, and analytics across all Meta platforms, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X, using Meta Business Suite and/or Sprout. 

  • Experience in preparing and producing large-format print materials (e.g., billboards, transit wraps, and bus advertising). 

  • Experience with MS Office tools, specifically Planner, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. 

  • Experience with Deltatre website platform (or website equivalent). 

  • Experience with MailChimp email campaign platform (or equivalent). 

  • Photography (particularly sports) interest and skill. 

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. 

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends during matchdays and events. 

  • Passion for sports, entertainment, and community engagement.
