The following are playoff clinch/elimination scenarios for Matchweek 22 of the Canadian Premier League (CPL), to be contested between Friday, Sept. 5 and Saturday, Sept. 6.
Forge FC will clinch a top four spot and a home playoff match if:
- Forge FC beat Halifax Wanderers FC on Saturday, Sept. 6 AND York United FC draw or lose against Cavalry FC on Friday, Sept. 5.
Vancouver FC will be eliminated from playoff contention if:
- Vancouver FC lose against Valour FC on Friday, Sept. 5.
- Vancouver FC draw against Valour FC on Friday, Sept. 5 AND York United FC beat or draw against Cavalry FC on Friday, Sept. 5.
The top five teams at the end of the regular season will advance to the 2025 CPL Playoffs, which will be contested in the same format as was introduced by the League in 2023. More information regarding the 2025 CPL Playoffs schedule will be announced later this season.

A previous version of this story, published on Sept. 4, mistakenly stated the Vancouver FC would be eliminated from playoff contention provided York United beat Cavalry FC on Friday, Sept 5. In fact, Vancouver FC would remain in playoff contention with a victory over Valour FC in Matchweek 22, no matter the result of the York United match, as the club could still overtake Halifax Wanderers on tiebreakers.
