The TELUS Canadian Championship is down to its final four, and this year the battle for Canada goes through the CPL. Is this the year a CPL team finally wins it all?

The 2025 TELUS Canadian Championship semi-finals kick off on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and all four remaining teams have their eyes on the Voyageurs' Cup.

For the first time ever, three out of four semi-finalists are Canadian Premier League clubs, meaning we're guaranteed at least one in the final. Could one of them be the first CPL side ever to win this tournament?

On one side of the bracket, Major League Soccer club and reigning champions (for the past three straight years) Vancouver Whitecaps look to defend their title. Standing in their way, though, is first-place CPL side Forge FC, who have already knocked out an MLS foe this year. The Hamilton club has never played the Whitecaps, but after losing in the semis three years in a row they're desperate to go one step further this time around.

The other semi-final also pits Ontario against British Columbia. Atlético Ottawa, who sit second in the CPL, take on Vancouver FC, who have already knocked out Pacific FC and Cavalry FC on penalties. Neither side has ever been this far in the competition; could this be their year?

Either Forge or the Whitecaps will host the Canadian Championship Final, which is set to be played Oct. 1. The winner of this year's tournament will earn not only the Voyageurs' Cup, but also a coveted spot in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.

Here's everything you need to know about the 2025 CanChamp semi-finals.
