Aparicio was excellent in a strong month for Atleti.

Atlético Ottawa midfielder Manny Aparicio has been named the Canadian Premier League's Player of the Month for October 2025.

The 30-year-old Toronto native has been a rock in the centre of the pitch for Atleti all season, but he has raised his game in the final stretch of the season. Aparicio played every single minute of October for Ottawa, picking up two assists in the four games — one of which was particularly memorable, as the helper to Sam Salter's winning goal against Forge FC last Saturday.

That assist and the subsequent victory at Hamilton Stadium in the Championship Semifinal of the CPL Playoffs earned Ottawa the right to host the CPL Final on Nov. 9.

Atleti went 1-2-0 in their regular season games in October, not quite managing to get ahead of Forge in the CPL Shield race but nonetheless getting themselves into the postseason in good form. Aparicio was named to the CPL's Gatorade Team of the Week in two of those three regular season matches.

Aparicio is the fourth different Atlético Ottawa player to win the Player of the Month award in 2025, amid a phenomenal season for the club. He joins teammates David Rodríguez (April), Sam Salter (May) and Ballou Tabla (September).

Other Player of the Month honourees this year have been Forge FC's Dan Nimick (June) and Kyle Bekker (July), and Cavalry FC's Ali Musse (August).
