Atlético Ottawa now know the identity of their opponent for their Canadian Premier League quarter-final match this Sunday, Oct. 27 at TD Place. York United FC, after defeating Pacific FC in Wednesday night’s 4th vs. 5th playoff match, will head to the nation’s capital to continue their postseason journey. Ottawa earned the right to host the quarter-final by finishing third in the CPL’s regular season standings. This will be their first match of the 2024 playoffs, and the first postseason game played at TD Place since the 2022 CPL Final. York, meanwhile, came into the playoffs as the fourth seed and hosted fifth-place Pacific on Wednesday in the first home playoff match in club history. The Nine Stripes won 2-0 thanks to second-half goals from Oswaldo León and Mo Babouli, keeping their North Star Cup hopes alive. These two sides have met four times already this season, with York winning the past three meetings and Atlético taking the first game of the 2024 season back in April. The winner of Sunday’s game will move on to play the team that loses the qualifying semi-final between Forge FC and Cavalry FC later that same day. The match will kick off at 1 p.m. ET at TD Place, and will be broadcast live on OneSoccer.
