The Canadian men’s national team will be back on home soil for the first time since the 2022 World Cup on Tuesday, March 28, when they face Honduras at Toronto’s BMO Field in the Concacaf Nations League. Kickoff time is still to be determined. The match will be their group stage finale, with Canada currently sitting second, trailing Honduras by three points in Group C. They lost to their Concacaf rivals 2-1 in San Pedro Sula back in June 2022.

Canada, however, does have a game in hand on both them and the group’s other side, Curaçao, who they will meet on the road on March 25. They also have the group’s best goal difference at +3, after defeating Curaçao 4-0 in their Nations League opener at BC Place. Finishing top of the group would see Canada advance to the semifinal round, to be played in June of 2023, and qualify for the Gold Cup. Second place would also mean Gold Cup qualification, while in the unlikely event Canada finished third in the group, it would mean relegation to League B. Tickets for the match will be available for presale starting on Tuesday, Feb. 21, and will be available to the public on Monday, Feb. 27. The Canadian men’s national team has gone a record 15 straight matches without a home loss, and has only ever lost once at BMO Field.
