Cavalry FC's Tommy Wheeldon Jr. has been named the Canadian Premier League's Manager of the Month for October.
His side finished the season by locking down third place in the Canadian Premier League. During October, they came back to tie 3-3 with Pacific FC at Starlight Stadium despite being down to 10 men, held CPL Shield winners Forge to a 1-1 draw in Calgary and drew 2-2 with Vancouver FC on the final day of the season.
Their shining performance, however, came as they began their North Star Cup title defence with a dominant 4-1 victory over York United in the semifinal qualifier to begin the 2025 CPL Playoffs.
Wheeldon Jr. was also named the CPL Coach of the Month during the month of May.
Other Manager of the Month recipients this season include Atlético Ottawa's Diego Mejía (June, September), Halifax's Patrice Gheisar (April), York United's Mauro Eustáquio (July) and Forge FC's Bobby Smyrniotis (August).
