The Canadian Football Hall of Fame announced on Thursday that seven new members are to be inducted as the Class of 2025, and among them is Canadian Premier League and Canadian Soccer Business Executive Vice President Glen Johnson, who goes into the Hall in the Builders category..
Johnson was an on-field official in the Canadian Football League for 24 years, officiating over 400 games and serving as head referee in four Grey Cup championship games. He also went on to work in the CFL's front office for several years as VP of Officiating and Senior VP of Football.
Since 2020, Johnson has worked with the Canadian Premier League and Canadian Soccer Business, currently in the role of Executive Vice President. He has helped oversee a number of achievements with both organizations in his five years, contributing to building the commercial success and strength of Canadian soccer.
Johnson, along with five former CFL players and one other Builder, will officially be inducted into the Hall of Fame at Hamilton Stadium in a ceremony on Friday, Sept. 19.
