Forge FC centre-back Dan Nimick has been named the Canadian Premier League's Player of the Month for June.
The 24-year-old has been outstanding for the Hammers in this, his first season with the club, and in June he took another step forward. Nimick has played every minute of the regular season for Forge so far, including all four games in the month, where his side went 3-1-0 and outscored opponents by a margin of 11-3.
Forge posted two clean sheets in June with Nimick at the back, and he also contributed up front, scoring a penalty kick against Vancouver FC and providing two assists in a 5-0 win over Valour FC.
With Forge's unbeaten record still intact through 13 games in 2025, they currently sit second in the CPL table, just one point back of first place.
During June, Nimick was named to the Gatorade Team of the Week three consecutive times. This is Nimick's second career Player of the Month award, having also won the honour in August 2023 while a member of the Halifax Wanderers.
Prior winners of this award in 2025 were Atlético Ottawa's David Rodríguez (April) and Sam Salter (May).
