All on-field disciplinary matters for the Canadian Premier League (CPL) are overseen by Canada Soccer, pursuant to its Disciplinary Code and Professional Soccer Club Disciplinary Annex.
The following players and coaches are facing suspension, which have been determined and issued by Canada Soccer, following the tenth week of play in the 2025 CPL regular season:
-
Juan Castro, Atlético Ottawa
- Reason for suspension: Yellow Card Accumulation
- Sanction: One-match suspension (June 15 vs. Valour FC)
-
Gianfranco Facchineri, Valour FC
- Reason for suspension: Red Card - Violent Conduct
- Sanction: Three-game suspension (June 15 at Atlético Ottawa; June 22 vs. Forge FC; July 1 at Halifax Wanderers)
* Following Facchineri’s red card for Violent Conduct, issued on June 4, 2025 during a match against Vancouver FC, Valour FC submitted a claim of wrongful dismissal to the Canada Soccer Disciplinary Panel. The Panel found that Facchineri committed an intentional act of violent conduct as described in the referee’s report and his three-game suspension for violent conduct was upheld.
Kunle Dada-Luke is available for selection on Saturday, June 15 after a claim of wrongful dismissal, submitted by Vancouver FC on his behalf, was accepted by the Canada Soccer Disciplinary Panel. A previously-issued three-game suspension for violent conduct was withdrawn.
In addition, the following players are now one caution away from a one-match suspension for yellow card accumulation:
-
Josh Heard, Pacific FC
-
Luke Singh, York United FC
-
Oswaldo Leon, York United FC
-
Elijah Adekugbe, York United FC
-
Orlando Botello, York United FC
-
Bruno Figueiredo, Valour FC
-
Raphael Ohin, Valour FC
-
David Norman Jr., Vancouver FC
