All on-field disciplinary matters for the Canadian Premier League (CPL) are overseen by Canada Soccer, pursuant to its Disciplinary Code and Professional Soccer Club Disciplinary Annex.
The following players and coaches are facing suspension, which have been determined and issued by Canada Soccer, following the sixteenth week of play in the 2025 CPL regular season:
- Ali Musse, Cavalry FC*
- Reason for suspension: Red Card - Violent Conduct
- Sanction: Three-match suspension (July 29 at Valour FC (served); Aug. 4 at Pacific FC; Aug. 9 vs. Halifax Wanderers)
- Goteh Ntignee, Cavalry FC
- Reason for suspension: Red Card - Two Cautions
- Sanction: One-match suspension (Aug. 4 at Pacific FC)
- Eleias Himaras, Valour FC*
- Reason for suspension: Red Card - Violent Conduct
- Sanction: Three-match suspension (Aug. 2 at Forge FC; Aug. 10 vs. Atlético Ottawa; Aug. 17 vs. York United FC)
The Canada Soccer Disciplinary Panel is responsible for reviewing red card claims by CPL clubs. The following red card decision(s) from Matchweek 16 are being appealed by CPL Club(s) to the Canada Soccer Disciplinary Panel:
- Ali Musse, Cavalry FC
- Charge: Red Card - Violent Conduct
- Claim by Club: Excessive Punishment
- Details: Musse was suspended for a minimum of one (1) match, at Valour FC on Tuesday, July 29, after he was issued a red card for violent conduct following Cavalry FC's match against York United FC on July 26. The remainder of the sanction will be determined following a virtual hearing and an adjudication of the Canada Soccer Disciplinary Panel.
- Eleias Himaras, Valour FC
- Charge: Red Card - Violent Conduct
- Claim by Club: Excessive Punishment
- Details: Himaras shall be suspended for a minimum of one (1) match, to be served in the Canadian Premier League, after he was issued a red card for violent conduct following Valour FC's match against Cavalry FC on July 29. The remainder of the sanction will be determined following a virtual hearing and an adjudication of the Canada Soccer Disciplinary Panel.
In addition, the following players are now one caution away from a one-match suspension for yellow card accumulation:
