All on-field disciplinary matters for the Canadian Premier League (CPL) are overseen by Canada Soccer, pursuant to its Disciplinary Code and Professional Soccer Club Disciplinary Annex.
Yellow card accumulation for players was reset following the end of the CPL Regular Season on Saturday, Oct. 18. Any outstanding suspension incurred for yellow card accumulation at the end of the CPL Regular Season did not need to be served. Instead, Canada Soccer issued a financial penalty to Manuel Aparicio of Atlético Ottawa and Eryk Kobza of Cavalry FC for yellow card accumulation.
Josh Heard of Pacific FC and Tyler Crawford of Vancouver FC both received red cards in Matchweek 28 play. Heard will serve a one-match suspension at the beginning of the 2026 CPL Regular Season, while Crawford will serve a two-match suspension.
Atlético Ottawa Assistant Coach Diego Campos received a red card during Matchweek 28 play and will serve a one-match suspension during Atlético Ottawa’s upcoming Championship Semifinal match at Forge FC on Sunday, Oct. 26.
