The Atleti keeper held a second consecutive clean sheet, making five saves against Valour and helping Ottawa survive a wave of first-half pressure.
Defenders
Gabriel Antinoro (Atlético Ottawa)
Antinoro was lively in attack for Atleti against Valour, helping set up Manny Aparicio's assist to Samuel Salter before scoring the third goal himself. He also made two tackles and recovered possession four times.
Adam Pearlman (Halifax Wanderers)
The Halifax defender was excellent at the back during a 1-1 home draw with Cavalry FC. He made a crucial goal-line clearance early in the second half, and contested a stunning 20 duels while winning three tackles and making five clearances.
Dan Nimick (Forge FC)
Nimick was back on penalty duties for Forge, scoring their insurance marker from the spot in a 2-0 win over Vancouver FC. He also made four clearances, six recoveries and two blocks, playing 60 successful passes with 91 per cent accuracy.
Orlando Botello (York United)
Botello was a goalscoring hero for York in their win on Vancouver Island, but he was lively all afternoon against Pacific. He had 90 touches and created seven chances, with 14 passes into the final third and six accurate long balls. He also recovered possession seven times in an outstanding all-around performance.
Midfielders
Luca Accettola (York United)
Accettola doesn't often start for York but he rewarded Mauro Eustáquio for showing faith in him by scoring the equalizer on Saturday. He put one in the net shortly after hitting the woodwork, and had a generally strong performance on the ball, also winning five of seven duels.
Kyle Bekker (Forge FC)
Bekker delivered a fantastic all-around performance for Forge at Vancouver, good enough to earn the praise of the opposing coach in postmatch press conference comments. He scored the first goal with a good run into the box, but also helped set the tempo in midfield with his range of passing and workrate.
Manny Aparicio (Atlético Ottawa)
Aparicio played a superb ball to Samuel Salter for an assist on Atleti's second goal, but he was also a standout for his defensive work against Valour. He made five tackles and nine recoveries, winning 11 out of the 15 duels he contested.
Kembo Kibato (York United)
Kibato looked good in midfield alongside Accettola, playing a handful of dangerous long balls, making 44 successful passes, and making two key interceptions in the middle of the park.
Forwards
Tiago Coimbra (Halifax Wanderers)
Coimbra led the line with an impressive amount of intensity on Saturday against Cavalry, opening the scoring with a great striker's goal, getting behind the Cavalry line.
David Rodríguez (Atlético Ottawa)
Rodríguez was up to his usual tricks on Sunday, creating three chances and providing the assist on Ottawa's third goal. He also won the penalty for the first goal, made three tackles and won six duels.
