Sean Melvin (Pacific FC)
Melvin's Pacific side may have fallen 2-0 to Atlético Ottawa on Saturday, but their goalkeeper gave them a fighting chance. Melvin made eight saves, including a spectacular diving stop on Sam Salter, until he was finally beaten in the 76th minute.
Defenders
Max Ferrari (York United)
Ferrari scored an absolute screamer to put Friday's match against Cavalry to bed in a 3-1 victory. He also won five of seven duels, and won three fouls during a strong performance.
Roni Mbomio (Atlético Ottawa)
The young defender has fit into the Atleti backline perfectly, and completed an incredible 85 of his 86 passes against Pacific on Saturday, while winning four of seven duels.
Frank Sturing (York United)
Sturing made several key defensive interventions in York's 3-1 win over Cavalry FC, including a tackle that led to York's opening goal. He also completed 34 of 38 passes.
Orlando Botello (York United)
Botello set up Max Ferrari's late goal in a 3-1 win over Cavalry FC on Friday, one of two chances he created. He also played five crosses, and contested 11 duels.
Midfielders
David Rodríguez (Atlético Ottawa)
Atleti's star man had a hand in both of his side's goals on Saturday, earning an assist on the first with an outstanding ball over the top to Tabla. He had four shot attempts, and five chances created.
Kianz Froese (Valour FC)
Froese became just the second player in CPL history to record three assists in a match when he did so on Friday night in a 5-2 win over Vancouver FC.
Manny Aparicio (Atlético Ottawa)
Against his former side, Pacific, on Saturday, Aparicio dominated the midfield. He created four chances, and won a stunning 11 of 15 duels.
Ballou Tabla (Atlético Ottawa)
Tabla opened the scoring on Saturday against Pacific with a well-taken finish, and could have easily had more on the day. He finished with five shot attempts, three of which were on target, three chances created and 10 touches in the box.
Forwards
Nana Ampomah (Forge FC)
Ampomah was once again the offensive catalyst for Forge in their 1-0 win over Halifax. He won a penalty, set up Mo Babouli's winner, completed 2 of three attempted dribbles and had seven touches in the Halifax box.
Myles Morgan (Valour FC)
Morgan became the first player in Valour history to record a hat-trick in a 5-2 victory over Vancouver FC on Friday. He also had four shots and two chances created, while winning eight of 14 duels.
