Callum Irving (Vancouver FC)
Irving was excellent for Vancouver in their Salish Sea derby draw with Pacific. He made four saves, and his distribution was key to launching several Vancouver attacks.
Defenders
Max Ferrari (York United)
After scoring last week, Ferrari was on the scoresheet again this time with an assist in a 2-2 draw with Atlético Ottawa. He also completed 35 of 41 passes, and won possession five times.
Gianfranco Facchineri (Valour FC)
Facchineri put in a quality defensive shift to help Valour defeat top-of-the-table Forge at home on Thursday. He won six of nine duels, and made eight clearances during the match, while also completing 37 of a team-leading 43 passes attempted.
Aly Ndom (Pacific FC)
The Pacific central defender loves a game against Vancouver FC, as he scored his fourth goal of the campaign against them on Saturday in a 1-1 draw. He had four shot attempts, made a team-leading 112 touches and won nine of 14 duels contested.
Themi Antonoglou (Valour FC)
Good on both sides of the ball against Forge, Antonoglou created two chances, played six crosses, and completed 35 of 36 passes. He also finished with nine of 11 duels won, won possession seven times and made four interceptions.
Midfielders
Eryk Kobza (Cavalry FC)
The midfielder scored his first of the season on a header to open the scoring for Cavalry on Saturday. He also contested 12 duels, and completed a solid 31 of his 36 attempted passes.
Manny Aparicio (Atlético Ottawa)
Aparicio was dominant in midfield on Sunday against York, picking up an assist on Sam Salter's second with an incredible cross. He completed 80 of 89 attempted passes and won possession nine times during the match.
Ali Musse (Cavalry FC)
The reigning CPL player of the month for August isn't slowing down, as Musse continued to add to his best statistical season in the CPL on Saturday. He picked up a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Halifax, also creating three chances and completing 19 of 20 passes.
Kianz Froese (Valour FC)
A brace from Froese was the difference for the Winnipeg club in their come-from-behind 2-1 victory against Forge. His match-winner, in particular, showed the quality he can bring as he made space for himself before unleashing a well-placed strike from distance.
Goteh Ntignee (Cavalry FC)
The left winger delivered a stunning assist to Ali Musse for the match-winner with a great run down the flank. He was lively down the wing all match long, also playing a part in his side's opening goal.
Forwards
Sam Salter (Atlético Ottawa)
A brace for Salter in a 2-2 draw with York United on Sunday brought him up to 17 on the season. He scored a lovely composed finish in the first half, before adding a cushioned header for his second.
