Halifax Wanderers FC midfielder Jérémy Gagnon-Laparé will be suspended for two upcoming Canadian Premier League matches after he was sent off during Wednesday’s visit to Forge FC. Gagnon-Laparé was shown a straight red card for dissent in the 33rd minute of the Wanderers’ 2-0 loss in Hamilton. He will miss Halifax’s visit to Valour FC on Saturday, Aug. 17 and the club’s home match against Atlético Ottawa on Saturday, Aug. 24. Wanderers’ head coach Patrice Gheisar will also be suspended from Halifax’s trip to Winnipeg on Saturday after accumulating his third yellow card of the season from the bench. Canada Soccer is responsible for on-field disciplinary matters for the Canadian Premier League (CPL), pursuant to Canada Soccer’s Disciplinary Code and Professional Soccer Club Disciplinary Annex.
