Halifax Wanderers head coach Patrice Gheisar has been named the Canadian Premier League's Manager of the Month for April 2025.
Gheisar led the Wanderers to an undefeated month of April, with a season-opening draw in the nation's capital against Atlético Ottawa, followed by wins over York United, Pacific and Valour FC.
Of particular note for a Halifax team that has historically struggled away from home, three of those matches -- in Ottawa, York and Winnipeg -- were played on the road. The Wanderers currently lead the league in road points, with seven this year, more than they managed away from home during the entire 2024 season.
During the month, Halifax scored eight goals, and conceded just four in four matches. This is the best start to a season in the club's history.
This is Gheisar's third campaign in charge of the Halifax Wanderers. He was nominated for the league's Coach of the Year award in 2023.
