New PSLC name and look unveiled alongside the Canadian Premier League’s refreshed identity as part of a coordinated visual evolution across Canadian Soccer Business’s league portfolio.

Premier Soccer Leagues Canada (PSLC), formerly known as League1 Canada, today unveiled a new name and brand identity that reflects the role it has earned at the heart of Canada’s increasingly aligned domestic soccer pathway.

Introduced as part of a coordinated evolution led by Canadian Soccer Business and launched alongside a refreshed identity for the Canadian Premier League (CPL), the PSLC update sits within CSB’s broader effort to strengthen alignment across its league portfolio. It reflects PSLC’s central role in connecting deeply rooted community clubs with higher levels of opportunity across both the men’s and women’s games, while preserving the distinct character of its aligned provincial and regional leagues.

Building on the strong foundation established under League1 Canada, the transition to Premier Soccer Leagues Canada marks a new chapter for the country’s national pro-am system. As part of the refresh, PSLC introduces new names and identities for select provincial and regional leagues. League1 Ontario becomes the Ontario Premier League, League1 British Columbia becomes the British Columbia Premier League, and League1 Alberta becomes the Alberta Premier League.

The evolution of PSLC will also include the launch of the Prairies Premier League, a new seven-team league structure set to kick off in May 2026 that expands the system into Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northern Ontario.

PSLC competitions have, and will continue to, play a proven role in developing players who progress into professional leagues in Canada and abroad, as well as those who go on to represent Canada internationally.

“Premier Soccer Leagues Canada exists to give players meaningful opportunities where it matters most: in their communities,” said Dino Rossi, Vice President, Premier Soccer Leagues Canada. “ PSLC has become a trusted environment for development, competition, and progression across both the men’s and women’s games. This new identity reflects the role it already plays and sets the foundation for how the system continues to grow.”

Rooted in Canadian red and white, the refreshed Premier Soccer Leagues Canada identity emphasizes progression and national opportunity. The colour palette reflects PSLC’s coast-to-coast roots and its role in supporting the development of Canadian players. Each provincial and regional league carries its own colourway, drawn from local flags and identities, reinforcing regional character.

Anchored by a north-pointing shield, the Premier Soccer Leagues Canada identity draws on enduring national symbols to express direction and progression. Within the shield, the PSLC mark rises with intention, centred around a Canadian maple leaf containing an ascending arrow — a visual expression of development, momentum, and advancement within the pathway.

Built to perform across broadcasts, digital platforms, and matchday environments, the identity is designed to scale consistently nationwide. Select aspects of the identity — including the shield structure, maple leaf, and typography — are also shared with the Canadian Premier League (CPL), reinforcing visual cohesion and alignment within the pathway while preserving the distinct role and character of each competition.

The system is built to accommodate different competitive levels and age groups within the provincial and regional leagues, supporting player development at multiple stages across the country.
