Cavalry FC head coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr. has been named the Canadian Premier League's Manager of the Month for May 2025.
His club went undefeated during May, picking up wins against York United, Halifax, Pacific and Valour, before drawing with rivals Forge FC on the final day of the month.
Cavalry outscored their opponents by a stunning margin of 14-2 during the month, keeping three consecutive clean sheets between May 10 and May 25 in the league.
This continued a trend in Cavalry club history, who have now won 15 of the 23 all-time CPL matches they've played during the month of May, and lost just once.
Wheeldon Jr. is the second coach to receive this honour this season, after Halifax Wanderers manager Patrice Gheisar was named the league's Coach of the Month for April.
