With their backs against the wall on Thursday night, Pacific FC came from behind to pick up a massive 2-1 victory over York United at York Lions Stadium. Trailing in the 82nd minute, substitute Reon Moore got on the end of a corner kick to tie the match. Then six minutes later, it was the Trinidad international who played hero again in the 88th minute as he tapped home a squared ball from Dario Zanatta after a huge tackle from Kunle Dada-Luke played the Pacific striker through. The victory means that regardless of other results this weekend, Pacific’s playoff hopes will still be alive going into ‘The Outcome’, the final week of the CPL season. They currently sit three points ahead of rivals Vancouver FC for the fifth and final playoff spot. The Tridents host CPL Shield winners Forge FC on Saturday, October 19, at 1:00 p.m. PT / 4:00 p.m. ET. That match, and all four contested in the CPL next Saturday, the final matchday of the 2024 regular season, will be played concurrently and available on the OneSoccer YouTube page.
