While the Canadian men's national team have been in Europe for a pair of high-profile international friendlies against Romania and Wales, the youth national teams were in action as well.
Several Canadian Premier League players represented Canada at a U-17 camp in Spain, and a U-18 camp in Finland.
The standout performer was 17-year-old York United attacker Shola Jimoh, who scored a brace against Uzbekistan on Saturday for the U-17 side. The match ended 2-2 after regulation, but Canada lost an ensuing penalty shootout 6-5.
Jimoh has now scored five goals for Canada at the U-17 level. In 18 appearances for York this season, he has three assists. The U-17 side also lost 3-2 to England during the window, with goals from Whitecaps' academy Yuma Tsuji and Damm Academy's André Ali-Gayapersad, and 3-0 to Morocco.
This camp served as critical preparation for the 2025 U-17 World Cup in November. Canada were drawn in Group K, and take on Uganda on November 5, France on November 8 and Chile on November 11.
Jimoh, however, wasn't the only Canadian Premier League player to score during this window. Forge's Zayne Bruno had a clever finish in a 4-1 loss against Finland with the U-18 team, while Vancouver FC's Emrick Fotsing marked his first international call-up with a goal for the U-18s in a 4-1 loss to Switzerland.
Atlético Ottawa's Sergei Kozlovskiy also made a pair of starts for the U-17 side, while Forge's Emmannuel Marmolejo and Vancouver FC's TJ Tahid were with the U-18 squad.
