Sunday’s 5-4 loss to Cavalry tied the league record for most goals in a game, and will go down as one of the most exciting matches in CPL history.
Despite a heartbreaking 97th-minute winner for Cavalry, Vancouver FC showed incredible resolve in a back-and-forth battle that saw goals from Nicolas Mezquida (18'), Terran Campbell (33'), Hugo Mbongue (59'), and Emrick Fotsing (90+5' - read more below!), and an high flying PK save from Goalkeeper and Club Captain Callum Irving.
With his goal, Terran Campbell returned to the top of the CPL’s all-time scoring list, reaffirming his place in league history — and with 11 goals in our last four matches, our VFC squad have quickly transformed themselves into arguably the most exciting team in the league to watch this summer.
