Seventeen-year-old midfielder Emrick Fotsing from Mascouche, Quebec, signed with Vancouver FC in February 2025 under the CPL’s “Exceptional Young Talent” program. He began with AS Mascouche and AS Blainville before captaining CF Montréal’s U17s, playing in MLS Next Pro, and training with Serie A club Bologna’s academy in 2023, building his profile as a top Canadian prospect.
Vancouver FC, known for developing young players, sees Fotsing as its next rising star. He calls Vancouver “the right place” to grow his game and is determined to balance the demands of professional soccer with completing his education remotely.
