Toronto, ON – September 10, 2025 – When Kemari Record-Wright joined the York United FC Academy, he quickly stood out for his energy, pace, and ability to impact the game from right-back. Just a few years later, at only 17 years of age, he’s already made the leap to the Canadian Premier League stage.

Record-Wright signed a Development Contract with York United FC, building on an impressive Academy campaign that saw him play 16 matches in League1 Ontario. He also represented Team Ontario at the Canada Games, gaining invaluable experience at a national level.

In this week’s episode of The Pathway, we focus on a milestone moment in Kemari’s journey: his First Team debut. During Matchweek 22 against Cavalry FC, he entered the game in the closing minutes, coming on for Massimo Ferrin in front of the York Lions Stadium crowd, as York United secured a 3-1 victory. For the teenager, it was the culmination of years of hard work and the beginning of a new chapter.
