About the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation
The Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation is the official charitable arm of Spruce Meadows. Established in 2015, the Foundation was created to give back to the community that has supported Spruce Meadows for nearly five decades. The mission of the Foundation is to help foster a thriving, inclusive community through meaningful partnerships and support.
Guided by its five pillars:
- Education
- Health & Wellness
- Community
- Amateur & Grassroots Sports, and
- Agriculture
The Leg Up Foundation has donated more than $2 million to local organizations whose work reflects these shared values.
Each year, the Foundation welcomes hundreds of elementary students to Spruce Meadows through the longstanding School Tours program, an initiative that has introduced young learners to agriculture and sport for more than 50 years. It is one of many ways the Foundation connects with the community and invests in its future.
MISSION
The mission of the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation is to support initiatives that create meaningful and lasting change in the lives of Albertans. The Foundation focuses its efforts on five key areas: Education, Health & Wellness, Amateur and Grassroots Sport, Community, and Agriculture.
