Halifax Wanderers captain Andre Rampersad and forward Ryan Telfer have been selected by the Trinidad and Tobago men's national team for the country's upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
Trinidad and Tobago host Curacao on Friday, September 5, before playing away against Jamaica on Tuesday, September 9.
The Soca Warriors are in the third round of FIFA World Cup Qualifying and are placed in a four-team group that also includes Bermuda. The team that places first in the group will automatically qualify for the tournament, which Canada is co-hosting with Mexico and the United States. The second-placed team has the opportunity to advance to an inter-confederation playoff.
Since making his international debut in 2023, Rampersad has become a key player for his national team, earning 24 caps for his country. He scored his first international goal during the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Telfer has scored ten goals in 32 appearances for Trinidad and Tobago since making his debut in 2019.
