Halifax Wanderers captain Andre Rampersad has been selected by the Trinidad and Tobago men's national team for the country's upcoming World Cup Qualifiers and the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Trinidad and Tobago host Saint Kitts and Nevis on Friday, June 6, as they continue their quest to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The Soca Warriors will then travel to San José for a meeting with Costa Rica on Tuesday, June 10. Placed in Group B, Trinidad and Tobago are currently in second place—the top two teams in the group advance to the third round of qualifying.
After that pair of World Cup Qualifiers, Trinidad and Tobago will begin their run in the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Placed in Group D of the competition, Rampersad will face the United States (June 15), Haiti (June 19) and Saudi Arabia (June 22). The top two teams in each group advance to the quarter-finals.
Since making his international debut in 2023, Rampersad has become a key player for his national team, earning 20 caps for his country. He scored his first international goal during the 2023 CONCACAF GOLD CUP.
