Halifax Wanderers captain Andre Rampersad and forward Ryan Telfer have been called up by the Trinidad and Tobago men's national team for a pair of international friendlies against Venezuela and Gabon.

Trinidad and Tobago is participating in the 2026 FIFA Series in Uzbekistan, part of a 36-nation series of matches that pit countries from different continental confederations against each other. The match against Venezuela will take place on March 27, followed by a friendly with Gabon on March 30.

Both Rampersad and Telfer were part of the squad that played in a 3-0 defeat against Bolivia on March 15. Rampersad was named captain for the match.

The Trinidad and Tobago men's national team is led by interim head coach Derek King, who was an assistant coach for the Wanderers during the 2019 season.

Since making his international debut in 2023, Rampersad has become a key player for his national team, earning 31 caps for his country. He scored his first international goal during the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Telfer has scored 10 goals in 36 appearances for Trinidad and Tobago since making his debut in 2019.
