Toronto, ON (July 15, 2025) – York United FC is proud to announce that Academy midfielder Joshua López has been called up to the Uruguay U-20 National Team for a training camp taking place in Anaheim, California, from July 13 to 19.
This opportunity comes as part of the national program’s ongoing evaluation of youth talent, and Joshua will be training under the direction of head coach Gabriel Skrlic throughout the week.
Joshua has made three appearances with the York United First Team this season in the Canadian Premier League and continues to be an active member of the senior training group.
The club congratulates Joshua on this achievement and wishes him the very best during his time with Uruguay. We look forward to welcoming him back to York Lions Stadium soon.
